OVERVIEW 

 

Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP is constructing the Coastal Bend Header Project to deliver natural gas to the Freeport LNG  Development, L.P., a  liquefaction terminal, and expand and modify a portion of its existing Index 129 Legacy System in southeast Texas. The Project will enable Gulf South to serve customers with whom Gulf South has entered into 20-year firm precedent agreements to transport natural gas to serve the first two trains of the planned liquefaction terminal which is already approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. 

 

The Project will consist of a Supply Header consisting of:

 

  • 66 miles of 36-inch diameter header pipeline located in Brazoria and Wharton Counties and will be co-located with existing utility rights-of-way for approximately 36% of the proposed route
  • New Wilson Compressor Station - Approximately 83,597 horsepower ("HP") located in Wharton County, Texas

 

The Project will also include expansion of a portion of Gulf South’s mainline system and a new interconnect to supply the Coastal Bend Header consisting of:

 

  • New North Houston Compressor Station - Approximately 10,700 HP located in Harris County, Texas 
  • New Brazos Compressor Station – Approximately 26,400 HP located in Fort Bend County, Texas
  • Existing Magasco Compressor Station – Approximately 20,482 HP located in Sabine County, Texas
  • Piping modifications to the existing Goodrich Compressor Station located in Polk County, Texas
